Abuja, Nigeria – In a significant stride toward strengthening the foundations of democracy in Nigeria, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, the revered National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), actively participated in the unveiling of the Inter Party Advisory Council's (IPAC) Strategic Plan for the years 2024 through 2028. This notable event, held today in Abuja, marks a crucial milestone for political collaboration and democratic deepening in Nigeria.


IPAC, renowned for facilitating a platform of engagement among diverse political parties, continues to champion the cause of democratic integrity and mutual respect among Nigeria’s political parties. The presentation of its 2024-2028 Strategic Plan underscores the Council's commitment to not only fostering political pluralism but also to scheming robust frameworks that aspire to elevate the country's democratic landscape to unprecedented heights.


IPAC's 2024-2028 strategic plan is underpinned by a vision where elections in Nigeria are conducted freely, fairly, and with unparalleled credibility. It articulates a clear agenda aimed at enhancing inclusivity, ensuring political stability, and advocating for the free conduct of elections devoid of violence. The strategic document places a significant emphasis on the collective participation of political parties towards advocating for more amendments to the Electoral Acts, addressing and pre-empting emerging electoral challenges.


In a further testament to his dedication and leadership within the political community, Barr. Ezeokenwa was sworn in as the Chairman of the Strategy Committee of IPAC at the unveiling event. This pivotal committee is charged with the formidable task of formulating policies, strategies, and legislative agenda for IPAC in Nigeria, making it one of the most influential bodies within the Council. 

Barr. Ezeokenwa's chairmanship of the Strategy Committee highlights not only his strategic acumen but also his commitment to piloting the course of democratic evolution in Nigeria. “Being entrusted with the chairmanship of the Strategy Committee is a profound honor and a significant responsibility. Our collective endeavor will be to sculpt policies and strategies that not only resonate with the core values of democracy but also ensure that IPAC remains at the vanguard of Nigeria’s democratic journey,” said Barr. Ezeokenwa.


Barr. Ezeokenwa, representing the All Progressives Grand Alliance, showcased his unwavering dedication to the principles that IPAC stands for, deliberating and contributing significantly to the discussions that aimed at refining the strategies intended to bolster democratic practices in Nigeria over the next four years.


“The unveiling of IPAC's Strategic Plan is a reflective moment for us in the political community to reassert our dedication to democracy. It presents us with a roadmap to nurture a more inclusive, fair, and transparent political process,” said Barr. Ezeokenwa during the event.
