 APGA NATIONAL CHAIRMAN HOSTS ANAMBRA SPORTS CLUB, EMPHASIZES THE UNIFYING POWER OF SPORTS.

Awka, Anambra - The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, today, played host to members of the Anambra Sports Club in Awka, reaffirming the significant role of sports as a unifier that bridges gaps and brings communities together in a shared passion for excellence.


The APGA National Chairman reiterated that sports are integral to the APGA Manifesto, which the party has streamlined through its foundation. He emphasized that the National Leader of APGA and the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo CFR, has infused sports into governance as a means of lifting people out of poverty and ensuring healthy living. This is evident through the establishment of Solution FC and the revamping of the Anambra Ministry of Sports and the Anambra Sports Council.


Barr. Ezeokenwa accentuated the transformative power of sports in fostering unity and camaraderie among individuals from diverse backgrounds. As a dedicated member of the Anambra Sports Club, he highlighted the importance of sports as a platform for building connections and promoting a culture of excellence.

Hon. Ikeobi Ejiofor (Ike Aniocha), President of the Anambra Sports Club, extended heartfelt appreciation to the APGA National Chairman for extending a warm welcome amidst his demanding schedule. Noteworthy was his emphasis on the intrinsic link between Politics and Sports, highlighting the shared commitment to excellence and unity.


In attendance were Dr. Obie Onyekuba (Isi Ichie), former President of the Anambra Sports Club, as well as Hon. Chekwube Dike (Okwu Awka), alongside other distinguished members of the club, collectively embodying the spirit of sportsmanship and fellowship.
