APGA NATIONAL CHAIRMAN CELEBRATES SUPREME COURT VICTORY WITH THANKSGIVING MASS

Onitsha, Anambra – The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, on Sunday, celebrated the recent Supreme Court victory of the party with a thanksgiving mass at the Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, Fegge, Onitsha.
Rev. Father Stanley Ozigbo, delivering the homily during the mass, highlighted the importance of thanksgiving and faith in God, especially in times of victory and success. He urged the congregation to always acknowledge God's role in their achievements and to remain steadfast in their trust and gratitude for His divine guidance.
The elated APGA National Chairman, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to God for the legal victory, which he described as a total work of God. He narrated the change in the Supreme Court rule for brief filing, from 3 months (since 1985) to 30 days, effective July 2024, which he attributed to God's love for him and APGA. He further explained that this fast-tracked APGA’s appeal filing and hearing, resulting in the Supreme Court judgment on November 27, 2024, affirming him as the undisputed APGA National Chairman. He thanked God for the clarity and affirmation provided by the highest court in the land, ensuring that APGA remains on the path of righteousness and progress.
The APGA National Chairman praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo CFR, who he said is the greatest asset of APGA, for his support and leadership throughout the legal challenge, and thanked him for his massive work in Anambra State, which has set a model across Nigeria. Barrister Ezeokenwa reaffirmed the party's commitment to continue working towards the development of the Southeast region and the nation at large, prioritizing good governance, economic empowerment, and the welfare of citizens. He expressed confidence that APGA, under his national chairmanship, would continue to build a legacy of service and accountability.
Barrister Ezeokenwa also thanked party members, supporters, and well-wishers for their unwavering faith and support throughout the legal battle, emphasizing that the victory was not just for the party but for the people of Nigeria and the entire Southeast region.
The Deputy Governor, His Excellency Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, who represented Governor Soludo on behalf of the Governor, thanked God for the Supreme Court victory and for being used by God to ensure the Supreme Court's affirmation of Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa as the National Chairman of APGA. He highlighted the unprecedented works of Governor Soludo in Anambra State, which he described as unmatched by any state in Nigeria. Dr. Ibezim also called on Ndi Anambra to rally massive support for Governor Soludo, emphasizing that continued support will enable the Governor to deliver even greater works for the state.
The mass was attended by party stalwarts, clergy, and numerous well-wishers who joined in the celebration of the landmark occasion. Dignitaries at the event included Rt. Hon. Tony Collins Nwabunwanne; Hon. Tony Muobike, member representing Aguata 2 Constituency; Hon. Ebuka Igwe, member representing Idemili South Constituency; Hon. The thanksgiving mass not only celebrated a significant legal victory for APGA but also reaffirmed the party's unwavering commitment to the welfare of Nigerians.
