 APGA NATIONAL CHAIRMAN COMMENDS HUNGARY HELPS AGENCY ON NEW SIX-STORY NURSING COLLEGE EDIFICE IN ONITSHA


Onitsha, Anambra – The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, today commended the Hungary Helps Agency for its instrumental role in constructing a new six-story edifice at the College of Nursing Sciences, St. Charles Borromeo Hospital, Onitsha, to facilitate a four-year internationally accredited nursing program. The project, made possible through the agency's generous support, marks a significant advancement in healthcare education infrastructure in Anambra State.


Speaking at the event, Barrister Ezeokenwa lauded the partnership between the Hungary Helps Agency and the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, emphasizing its importance in promoting sustainable development. He praised the agency’s commitment to strengthening global healthcare education and expressed gratitude to the Catholic Archbishop of Onitsha, His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Valerian Okeke, for his steadfast dedication to education and healthcare. He noted that the newly inaugurated structure will further enhance the college’s capacity to train highly competent healthcare professionals.


The APGA National Chairman reaffirmed the party’s unwavering support for initiatives that drive human capital development in health and education. He expressed confidence that the expanded facilities will empower the College of Nursing Sciences to continue producing world-class medical professionals who will contribute to strengthening the healthcare sector.


The occasion was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including the Hungarian Secretary of State, His Excellency Dr. Tristan Azbej; the Hungarian Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr. Sándor Beer; Hungarian European Parliament officials; and the College Proprietor, His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Valerian Maduka Okeke, among others.
